Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting and planning the design of the overall VoIP and Connectivity consulting engagements. The incumbent sets goals, monitors work and evaluates results to ensure objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization. The primary focus of this position is to implement and support Network Infrastructure installations which includes security and firewall, route/switch, wireless and other network-related duties, but also is tasked with general VoIP support and build-outs. The Sr. Network and VoIP Engineer also provides mentoring, training, and support for the junior network staff of triPRACTIX.
- Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting VoIP and Network Infrastructure installations as necessary.
- Documentation of new and existing Network and VoIP Systems.
- Evaluate firewall change requests for potential security ramifications.
- Advises TriPRACTIX management team, senior management on sales and marketing matters assessing and explaining long and short term implications for the organization of alternatives and decisions.
- Guide architecture for services provided in order to maintain high uptime and stability.
- Manage a complete and full functioning monitoring and alert system for all devices
- Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) from accredited four year university preferred
- Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE and VoIP preferred
- Prior technology VoIP implementation and support experience is required
- Proven success with strategic planning, process re-engineering and project management.
- Ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals as it relates to projects. Able to think creatively and strategically to successfully negotiate with individuals or groups both internally and externally.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines and tight time constraints.
- A strong customer-oriented mentality focusing on the timely resolution of problems is required
