We are currently seeking a PM/EMR System Administrator to join our Fort Wayne, IN based Customer Support Department. PM/EMR System Administrators are responsible for efficient, accurate and friendly delivery of support services to triPRACTIX’s Healthcare Customers.
Job DescriptionThe primary function of a PM/EMR System Administrator is to implement all software components directly relating to a Centricity PM/EMR system. This position is a salaried, non-commissioned position. We’re looking for a PM/EMR System Administrator who can:
- Present recommended hardware specifications for a given implementation including Servers, Client Systems and Network Infrastructure.
- Determine Centricity PM/EMR system configuration for each implementation based on the clinic’s existing structure.
- Participate in project planning process to determine scope and schedule for each implementation.
- Act as an advisor for the client on technical issues relating to the implementation beyond the scope of our services; such as IT vendor recommendations or security concerns.
- Work with clients, vendors and other team members to diagnose and resolve technical issues where appropriate.
- Stage and test implementations prior to production.
- Remotely administer software installation and upgrades.
- On-site installation, trouble-shooting and repair when necessary.
- Design and implement software interfacees to the Centricity PM/EMR system for medical information.
- Write scripts and macros to support systems when required, such as SQL Stored Procedures.
- Integrate, implement and support third-party EMR peripheral products including Docutrak, Clinical Messenger, CareCatalyst and Faxcom CV.
- Research and recommend additional third party solutions should the need arise for a particular implementation.
- Administer external network services including DNS, SMTP & HTTP.
- Assist in internal system administration tasks.
- Proactively maintains knowledge base in the above-mentioned areas of expertise through attendance of seminars, inservices, and other training opportunities as well as regular review of industry publications.
- A strong customer-oriented mentality focusing on the timely resolution of problems is required.

- Clinical application skills as they apply to Practice Management, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and telecom are required.
- Ability to work effectively under the framework of an organized help desk operation.
- Knowledge of Relational Databases
- Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks required.
- Knowledge of GE Centricity (Logician EMR) preferred.
- Knowledge of GE Centricity Practice Office Management preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA required.
- Prior medical/healthcare industry experience required.
- Prior Network experience is preferred.
