General Description
The primary function this position is to implement software and hardware components of Microsoft Windows network. Secondary functions include providing second level line-of-business application technical support and co-administering the corporate and service provider server farms. This is a salaried, non-commissioned position.
- A strong customer-oriented mentality focusing on the timely resolution of problems is required
- Proactively maintains knowledge base in the above-mentioned areas of expertise through attendance of seminars, in-services, and other training opportunities as well as regular review of industry publications.
- Present recommended hardware specifications for a given implementation including Servers, Client Systems and Network Infrastructure.
- Determine server and system configuration for each implementation based on the client’s existing structure.
- Participate in project planning process to determine scope and schedule for each implementation.
- Act as an advisor for the client on technical issues relating to the implementation beyond the scope of our services; such as IT vendor recommendations or security concerns.
- Work with clients, vendors and other team members to diagnose and resolve technical issues where appropriate
- Stage and test implementations prior to production.
- Remotely administer software installation and upgrades.
- On-site installation, trouble-shooting and repair when necessary.
- Design and implement enterprise messaging, file server, and Microsoft server systems.
- Integrate, implement and support third-party peripheral products.
- Research and recommend additional third party solutions should the need arise for a particular implementation.
- Jointly administer the triPRACTIX corporate and service provider networks.
- Regular attendance and punctuality required.
- Actively participates in committees, meetings, and other initiatives of the management structure of the organization.
- Attends regular departmental meetings.
- Provides assistance to other departments as required.
- Adheres to triPRACTIX Information Technology department Enterprise vision and qualitative/quantitative approach to customer service.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervising Director.
- Serves on the disaster recovery team.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA, vendors, and all internal triPRACTIX Information Technology matters.
- Ability to focus on details, prioritize time, and handle many tasks at once.

- Enterprise network skills as they apply to patch and version maintenance, system upgrades, Group Policy, enterprise anti-virus, and enterprise backup and restore.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Operating System, Microsoft Exchange, and other enterprise network applications is required.
- Advanced knowledge of server hardware, desktop hardware, desktop operating systems is required.
- Intermediate level knowledge of networking concepts is required.
- Basic to Advanced knowledge of GE Centricity EMR and PM preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA required.
- Familiarity with best-practices in system administration, database administration, and enterprise IT is preferred.
- Prior medical/healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Prior system and database administration experience is preferred.
