My work at tPX involves a variety of Project Management responsibilities along with some HL7 interfacing tasks. The projects that I am involved with range from simple Centricity version upgrades to planning the growth of our ASP. I’ve engineered HL7 interfaces to Labs, EMRs, Billing Systems, and Transcription Systems. This variety in workload keeps everyday exciting and full.
After graduating from Elmhurst High School in 1999, I attended Ball State University and earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science. Upon graduation, I worked at Ball State University’s Computing Services as an application developer. I supported several legacy COBOL programs and developed new ASP web applications for departments across campus. A year and a half later, I came across an opportunity with Central Indiana Orthopedics as an IT analyst. My responsibilities at Central Indiana Orthopedics introduced me to Healthcare IT. I quickly realized how exciting and necessary IT was to the healthcare industry. After completing several large projects such as implementing a new PACS and digital x-ray solution for CIO, my wife and I decided to return to my hometown of Ft. Wayne.
In June of 2004, I married my beautiful wife Carrie. We decided early on that we wanted a large family, and in Jan 2006, we had our first child, Taeley. Outside of work, I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, softball, hunting, and working out. Between work and spending time with my family, there isn’t much time left in the day, but I try to enjoy these activities as much as possible.
