Rich Press, Regional Account Manager – West, brings more than extensive experience in medical capital equipment, healthcare IT, consulting, sales and sales management to Tripractix. Mr. Press holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
Mr. Press began his career at Abbott Laboratories serving as District Service Manager, Top Sales Representative and Area Sales Manager for patient monitoring and I.V. pump product lines, based in Chicago. After Abbott, Mr. Press served as Senior Sales Representative marketing patient, fetal and holter monitoring, as well as, Critical Care Patient Data Management Systems for Litton Datamedix in Phoenix. Richard was then recruited to Pharmacia Deltec where he held several positions including becoming PDI’s top sales executive and being promoted to a position responsible for 8 distributor organization covering 7 states and two product lines. For the next 10 years, Richard was President of his own business, SalesToolz, Inc. where he marketed sales training, sales consulting, as well as, offering marketing and sales software development services. While at SalesToolz, Mr. Press developed the Profit Improvement Proposal software used in the official Consultative Selling Training program developed by Mack Hanan. Mr. Press returned to the corporate environment to hold sales and management positions with Cardinal Heathcare-Pyxis division and the healthcare software division of McKesson Corporation. During his career, Mr. Press has been involved with several new technology launches including the: 1st fetal telemetry monitor, 1st fetal data management system, 1st implantable vascular access device, 1st ambulatory pain control & antibiotic infusion pumps. This entrepreneurial and new product introduction experience will be valuable in establishing our EXTENSION® product line.
Mr. Press grew up in New Haven, CT area and has continued his move west through the Chicago area to Phoenix area where he now resides in Fountain Hills. Rich is married and has two sons, both of which are in medical school in the Midwest. He enjoys reading, driving his Corvette and traveling around the southwest.
