My name is Karen and I provide application support for the PM product and am also a project lead for our GE EDI clients here at triPRACTIX.

I received my BAAS in Computer Information Systems from Eastern New Mexico University and I am currently a graduate student seeking my Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science at Indiana University Purdue University here in Fort Wayne. I plan to do research work in the areas of Healthcare Informatics and secure data transmission. I am also a Microsoft Certified Professional and a member of AWC-Association for Women in Computing.

My work in Healthcare IT has been varied and diverse. I have solid experience with claims billing, was an analyst on the EDI helpdesk with HIPAA compliance for a state Medicaid agency, and I enjoyed a role as a support technician for a mid-sized clearinghouse out west. I’ve also done hardware deployment and support for a state agency.

Education takes up a large portion of my time outside of work but I also enjoy time with friends and family, writing fiction, and traveling when time allows.
